On Saturday 5th October Stafford Camera Club ran a ‘Colour Management’ event hosted by Tony Dudley. Members were instructed in colour calibration of their monitors, processing and printing. The day helped them understand the concept of 18% grey, and the importance of setting white and black levels in their images. This involved using a colour management chart with a model and its application in photoshop. The calibration of a monitor was also demonstrated.
Members were given the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Kelly, our model for the day and put the theory into practice.
Many thanks to Tony for his time, expertise and the use of his equipment – members learnt such a lot. Thanks also to John Simpson for the use of his equipment and to the sponsorship of Fotospeed for the paper and to our lovely model Kelly for putting up with us all.
