Wildlife Photography – ‘From Sandwell to India’ – Tal Choham
December 3 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
On 3rd December the club welcomes Tal Choham, he will be presenting his wildlife Photography talk – ‘From Sandwell to India’
Tal is based in Birmingham and has loved wildlife since he was a child and has fond recollections of his holidays to India. Here he first encountered animals amongst the farm life in his family’s villages and back in the UK on school trips to Zoo’s and nature reserves. As an adult, he has been entranced by wildlife photography for nearly a decade now.
The raw experience that led him to walk this path, was his first tig er safari in 2008. Days of travelling through highly developed landscapes, leading to pristine wilderness and finally the jewel in the crown… a wild tiger, was an experience he still remember well and feels to this day.
Searching for wildlife both near and far, as well as in our best wildlife parks has enabled him to capture endangered species, and present them to us, the viewer in the best possible light (both literally and metaphorically) in a bid to inspire and preserve our natural heritage for the benefit and enjoyment of future generations.
HIs work is currently a mixture of wildlife taken in the field, and the first half of my ten year journey learning from captive animals at zoological gardens and wildlife parks. As time passes, he has grown to capture wildlife in its natural environment, and this is a trend that will continue into the future.
